How is the course set up?
This is a fully online course that uses iCollege with additional online components called WebAssign.
Calculus Program For TI-84 Plus This is the Calculus Program for TI-84 Plus: calculus.zip: 1k: 02-02-19: Calculus Toolkit v1.00 Does some pre-cal and calculus for ya. But still in development stage. Calc.zip: 3k: 04-02-17: Area Under A Curve For all of you who dont want to do the long hand verson of Simpsons Rule, Trapezoidal Rule, and Upper.
- I prefer the Texas Instruments® TI-83 or TI-84 Plus. The software I’ve used to create these graphs is the “online” version of this calculator, TI-SmartView™ Emulator Software for the TI-84 Plus Family, which can be downloaded from the Texas Instruments web site. Note: most pictures show the TI-84 C (Color) Silver Edition calculator.
- This program for TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus displays the formulas for calculating Integrals. Simply run the program to instantly display the integration formulas. Requires the ti-83 plus or a ti-84 model. TI-84 Plus and TI-83 Plus graphing calculator program contains formulas used for calculating integrals.
(1) The iCollege component is a learning management system used for virtual office hours, email, calendar, and discussion boards. Some quizzes will be taken in iCollege.
(2) The WebAssign component is a software package provided by the publisher of the textbook. WebAssign includes an electronic version of the textbook, video explanations, interactive homework tutorials, and online live help from experienced instructors. All graded homework will be completed in WebAssign.
What materials are required?
(1) Textbook. Click here for ISBN’s.
- Option A – Print textbook plus WebAssign Access Code.
- Option B – WebAssign Access Code. Because an electronic version of the textbook is available in WebAssign you do NOT have to purchase a textbook unless you choose to do so.
(2) TI-83 or TI-84 Graphing calculator. A TI-83/TI-84 graphing calculator is required for this course. A TI-89, TI-92, or TI-nspire without “CAS” model calculators are not permitted for this course.
